Chris Macartney began his working career in his father’s auto parts store at a young age, learning early on the value of integrity and hard work. While in high school he began working at a restaurant, igniting his interest in culinary arts. He attended the Culinary Institute of America and has held positions in both New York and Boston, as Sous Chef and Executive Chef. After working for four years in Boston as Executive Chef for State Street Bank, Chris decided to venture out into his own personal chef business. He moved to New York and created Cook For You, a personalized meal plan/service.

Chris’ real estate career began in early 2009 when he attended an introductory seminar. He has since completed courses on a wide variety of in-depth real estate topics, including Short Sales & Mortgages, Lease Options and Mortgage Assignment Strategies, as well as Domestic & International Land Development. He has developed a real estate processing/quick turning business focusing primarily on selling to retail buyers. His company, TriPoint Home Solutions, Inc. has worked on properties in states from New York to Texas. Currently, Chris is in the process of making TPHS completely systematized and automated, allowing him to continue his operations there as he takes on his new assignment in Costa Rica as CFO of Caribbean Highlands.

Chris was a working member of the Long Island Real Estate Investors Association from 2009 until 2014 and has worked closely with the organizers to improve overall operations as well as increase membership. Through the LIREIA he forged working relationships and friendships and is often called upon to mentor newer investors, passing on his knowledge and experience. At the end of 2014 he felt it was time to venture out onto his own again, forming Real Estate Investors of Long Island in early 2015 and has built not only a community of investors but has forged many business relations that has helps TPHS grow rapidly.

As CFO he will put his extensive business, management, real estate and personal skills to work overseeing all aspects of Caribbean Highlands, including employee relations and marketing. Having originally come from the hospitality business, Chris’ philosophy has always been “we are in business to serve our clients and to give them the best experience possible”, and this will transfer over to all aspects of Caribbean Highlands.
